Id only taken one sudafed in the morning because knowing my luck if id taken a couple of them i wouldn't have had any pain.
Wrapped up in my hat and scarf i set off to the Dr's there wasn't many people waiting before me and as im fairly new at the surgery id yet to meet Dr Tilley well not until today that is.
Sitting there thinking what i was going to say (does anyone else do that)? she calls me in and i tell her that ive had neuralgia that's caused me great pain, feeling a bit silly she wants to know more information so i tell her about my lack of coordination and nausea and the pain on my eyebrow and my burning face, oh and i had the flu two weeks ago.
Asking me to take my coat, hat and scarf off she checks my blood pressure and looks in my ears and asks if im eating normally? yes but when i do make food i cant taste it
then she asked me about Christmas!
so had to tell her the situation about mum being i'll and having to take care of her.
Her diagnosis was that i had a cluster headache (nicknamed as suicidal headache) due to stress and being run down and she wrote out a prescription for cocodamol and ibuprofen and told me to rest for a week.
Collecting my coat the dr told me to go and have blood taken down the corridor.
I feel so silly that the pain ive been having is actually a bloody headache, and going into the clinic to have my blood taken away one of the nurses pipped up and said you just got a headache then! poor you.... well you can imagine how im feeling now....i just want to get out of there.
But i know it was more than a headache and ive never experienced pain like it, but at least the cocodamol and ibuprofen is hitting spot where it hurts.
The dr did say to come back next week if ive still got the pain......i think not somehow.

Can't believe I just found your blog!
Don't be embarrassed, peace of mind is well worth a trip to the doctor's anytime. And if you think it's more than stress, tell them!
Take care of you, or you're no good to the ones you take care of. xx
