Call the fire brigade

There's nothing better than a shower to start the day. Hair semi dried i started to straiten it when i hear in the distance someone beating the door, thinking nothing of it i carry on what im doing. Then bang! Bang! On my neighbour’s door opposite then something about a fire, just as i look through the peep hole in my door Bang! Bang! and shouts of fire and help!! Downing my tools i rushed to open my door and my neighbour doing the same. We both hesitated outside when the young lass ran back in her flat. (We both looked at each other her in her PJs and coat and me in my scruffs and hair sticking up all over the place) trying not to think what we must look like we went in and there was smoke everywhere, it was so thick i couldn’t see. I quickly opened the window in the bedroom, then back to the living room where my neighbour opened the window there. The fire was in the kitchen on the draining board and i quickly turned on the taps. Not knowing where the T towels were i just grabbed a bath towel off the radiator and soaked it under the tap to dowse the flames. The smoke was making me cough and had to get out. I asked the young girl if she was ok, and asked if she forgot about the food in the oven. Sheepishly she did. Luckily it was only a small fire and it was out in minutes, but she was very lucky it wasn’t any worse. Id heard the young girl phoning the emergency service while i was tackling the small fire but it was out before they came. I went back inside my flat smelling of smoke and hair all over the place and the door frame hanging off and my straitners on the carpet still on! I know why the door frame came off, id tried to open the door with the chain on and id just dropped my straitners.
Once id finished straitening my hair again i heard the sirens going passed...WTF the poor gal could be burning to death in there, then five minutes later i heard them coming back through the village and turning into the car park. So please check your smoke alarms this chrismas.

Its not the easiest of address to find. I once had an ambulance at my door to take me to hospital and one ex bf went right through the village looking for my address. Id even had to cancel my take a way as the driver was going nuts.
